Social Programme

There is common social programme for the conference delegates and their accompanying persons for three nights. All social programme is included in the registration prices for the delegates. Accompanying persons are also welcome, in some cases for a small fee.

In the evening of Wednesday 26th May, after the opening of the conference, the keynote address of Miri Rubin and the "Teaching Cultural History" -session, there is the reception of the University of Turku. All the programme of the first conference day takes place at the University Main Building (see Conference Venue for further details on the conference venue.) at 17:00.

In the evening of Thursday 27th May at 19:30, the conference delegates are invited to the reception of the City of Turku at the City Hall. There is limited room at this occasion, so please register early and indicate your participation on the registration form as requested.

In the evening of Saturday 29th May, the delegates are invited to the gala dinner at the Turku Volunteer Fire Department House, a traditional place for celebrations with style. For this occasion, the accompanying persons are welcome but a small fee is requested, as the conference fee only covers the costs of the conference delegates.
