How to get to Turku

The easiest way to get to Turku is by plane. Turku has its own international airport, small, but very functional, and close to the town. It is served by Air Baltic, SAS/Blue1 (Star Alliance), Finnair (oneworld), and WizzAir. From the airport, you can get a local bus (no. 1, every 20 minutes, single fare € 2.50, after 23:00 € 3.50) to the center, or take a taxi.

Via Helsinki

Another option is to arrive at Helsinki, and take a bus connection from the airport to Turku, which takes apporx. 2½ hours, or, if preferring to stay a few days at Helsinki, arrive by train, which takes ca. 2 hours.

A third option would be to fly to Tampere with RyanAir, but the connections to Turku are bad, and in practice require a stay in Tampere for one night.
